Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
