We already knew that the iconic animated series was teaming up with Epic Games' battle royale, but that's not the only place where enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the world of Springfield. The beloved show is coming over to Rocket League, bringing along an in-game car skin that will also be usable in Fortnite. However, whether players will truly desire to equip it is a different matter, as there's only one Simpsons car the community is eager to get behind the wheel of, and this new offering isn't that one.

The Dream Vehicle

Although most gamers would absolutely enjoy to compete behind the wheel of The Homer—the notoriously impractical automobile the patriarch built himself in the classic installment "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?"—regrettably, that isn't what's being offered. Not even receiving the Canyonero, the enormous vehicle showcased in season 10. Instead, fans are getting the Simpsons' standard well-worn four-door, which they've been driving since the show's early days. Even though this particular car has accumulated plenty of miles, it stands as an iconic element of the show. For those who pay attention to Rocket League car hitboxes, the Simpson family car shares the identical collision model as the Dominus body type.

More Than Just a Car

But that's not the sole cosmetic from the series arriving in Rocket League. This limited-time event will also include a set of objectives to earn additional goodies, all of which are inspired by the show. According to a official announcement, the challenges will require participants to "get as many centers and clears as there are the show's seasons, collect boost pickups as if your navigation is set to The Simpsons’ residence, and drive a distance worthy of acquiring the ideal pastries!"

While the full lineup of challenge rewards hasn't been revealed, here is what has been confirmed so far:

• Blinky topper
• Homer's Hedges player banner
• Waste wheels
• 20,000 XP per challenge

If the key art is any indication, it appears players will also receive rims with a television showing The Simpsons' opening credits, Kang and Kodos topper, a sprinkled donut boost trail, and rocket boosts inspired by smoldering rubber and Krusty's famous restaurant.

Event Timing and Fortnite Connection

The Rocket League collaboration coincides with the major Simpsons takeover of Fortnite's island, which includes a completely new map of the fictional town, as well as a 30-day seasonal progression system. This special Rocket League and Simpsons event begins on Saturday, Nov. 1 and concludes on November 17th.
